What does accent lighting actually do for a building?
It draws the roofline. A building lit along its architectural edges reads as deliberate after dark instead of disappearing into a silhouette, and the approach to the front door stops being a guess. This is the difference between lighting that decorates a house and lighting that finishes it.
Why does this matter if I bought it for the holidays?
Because the holidays are a handful of nights and the year is not. An install used only in December sits idle for most of its life. The warm-white accent setting is what turns a seasonal purchase into something you notice and use every evening.
Can I adjust how warm or bright it is?
Yes — warmth and brightness are both adjustable, so you can tune it to suit the building and to sit comfortably with your neighbours rather than dominating the street.

Set as architectural lighting rather than floodlighting, it is aimed along the building. Brightness is adjustable, and getting that balance right is part of the design conversation.
Can I have it come on automatically at dusk?
Yes — schedules mean it can handle itself without anyone flipping a switch.
Does leaving it on every night cost much?
It is LED and dimmable, so the everyday warm-white setting is a modest draw compared with traditional exterior lighting.
Can it light a specific feature rather than the whole roofline?
The design pass covers which runs are worth lighting. Not every roofline benefits from being fully outlined, and we will say so.
