Twin Falls & the Magic Valley

EverLights vs Jellyfish vs Trimlight

Short answer

All three are competent permanent lighting systems and any of them, well installed, will outlast a badly installed rival. The bigger variable is who fits it and who services it locally — which is why we would rather talk you through criteria than declare a winner.

What actually differs between the systems?

Mostly the track profile, how the LEDs are aimed, the control software and the warranty structure. Those are real differences and worth understanding for your building — a system whose lights aim outward suits a house you view from the street, while a different profile might suit a soffit application better. What differs far less than the marketing suggests is the underlying LED quality.

Why does the installer matter more than the brand?

Because the failure modes people actually experience are installation failures, not product failures. A track mounted badly, a run measured wrong, wiring left exposed, or a controller sited somewhere inconvenient will spoil a good product. Meanwhile a competent install of any of the three will quietly do its job for years. When something does go wrong, what matters is whether the person who fitted it will come back.

What should I actually ask a lighting company?

Ask who does the work — the company you are speaking to, or a subcontractor. Ask what happens in year three when a section fails, and who you call. Ask to see the specific warranty terms in writing rather than a headline. Ask whether they will walk the building before quoting. The answers to those tell you more than the brand on the box.

Which one do you install?

We fit EverLights. That is a considered choice and we will explain our reasoning if you ask, but we are not going to tell you the others are bad products, because that would not be true and you would be right not to trust us afterwards.

Good questions

Is one brand clearly the best?

No, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling. They differ in profile, control software and warranty structure — which suits you depends on your building.

Can you service another brand for me?

Sometimes, depending on the product and how it was fitted. Call and describe what you have and we will give you a straight answer.

Does the app differ between systems?

Yes — control software is one of the more noticeable day-to-day differences, so it is worth seeing one in use before you commit.

Should I just get three quotes?

Yes. Ask each of them the questions above and compare the answers, not just the numbers.
